Privacy Policy

Rules effective – January 1, 2019

The Zeyo Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, and protect the information you provide to us.  By using Zeyo, you accept our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, and you consent to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

We may collect information including, but not limited to, IP address; usage data; demographic information; geographic information; referring/exit pages and URLs; browser type; platform types; time and date of use; submitted preferences; aggregated data related to claims, cases, settlements, and their outcomes; customer satisfaction data; user preferences; recordings of hearings; and information you affirmatively provide, such as your name, contact information, and any information or files that you enter, choose, or upload. We also may collect some of this information using cookies, which may be stored on users’ hard drives, and which users can delete when they wish.

Zeyo uses personally identifiable information to communicate with, provide services to, and improve services for users. For example, we may use your name and email address to send you an email reminding you that you have an upcoming hearing, or we may store information from your case so that you can refer back to your cases. Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy or elsewhere on any of our webpages, we do not without your consent disclose your personally identifiable information with third parties. Zeyo discloses information, including some personally identifiable information, to third parties who are performing services for Zeyo or its users (such as appointed arbitrators, who need to see certain information in order to arbitrate your case; or PayPal, which requires certain information to process payment). Zeyo may also disclose information as required by law or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, or in order to investigate fraud or perjury. Zeyo may observe, record, or review hearings for quality control or research purposes.  Zeyo will never disclose recordings or any identifiable information enclosed therein unless required by law or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, or in order to investigate fraud or perjury.

Zeyo may use and disclose non-personally identifiable information for quality control, business, or research purposes. Non-personally identifiable and personally identifiable information may be transferred in the event that Zeyo engages in a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

Any future changes to Zeyo’s Privacy Policy will be posted to Zeyo’s website.

Zeyo takes precautions to protect users’ information.  Zeyo has implemented physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to protect collected information. We use encryption, firewalls, secure socket layer technology, and password protection. Additionally, credit card information is transmitted by secure servers (SSL). Despite best efforts, no entity, including Zeyo, can guarantee the security of transmitted data. Accordingly, Zeyo disclaims liability for the theft, loss, or interception of, or unauthorized access or damage to, any information or data you transmit by using Zeyo. You acknowledge that you understand and assume the risk of transmitting information or data.

If you do not wish to receive marketing emails from Zeyo, you may unsubscribe from our mailing list on any of the emails we send. Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not stop you from receiving emails necessary in order to administer your cases or emails regarding updates to the Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to, and Zeyo is not responsible for, the practices of any non-Zeyo webpages. If Zeyo provides a link to a non-Zeyo webpage, Zeyo is not responsible for the practices employed on those webpages.

Additionally, Zeyo uses third-party applications and services provided by third-party vendors.  These third parties may collect certain information (for example, your IP address) or set cookies.  Use of the portions of Zeyo’s service that are provided by third-party vendors or are otherwise provided by a third-party is governed by any privacy policies those third parties may have.

Zeyo may change its Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes to the Privacy Policy will be posted on Zeyo’s website.
